Grand Prix and Grand Prix Gold tournament system
As a series of tournaments held in most countries across five continents, bringing together many excellent tennis players who have achieved certain achievements in the rankings of the Badminton World Federation (BWF). Super Series Tournament System
This "Super" season debuted on December 14, 2006, and was held in 2007. Recognized by the World Badminton Association as an official tournament, and is divided into two levels. classified, Super Series Premier, and Super Series.
Super Series is a system of tournaments, including 12 tournaments held in 12 countries around the world, including 5 Super Series Premier tournaments. Bringing together 32 of the world's top tennis players, the prize for the winner is over 200,000 USD for each tournament. Each tournament is held monthly from January to December and rotates 1 host country each month.
The Super Series season is held annually, and the Top 8 players/pairs in each Super Series ranking format will be invited to the Super Series Finals — the final tournament that takes place at the end of the year, to find the champion of the whole tournament.
On average, each Super Series tournament takes place in 6 days, with 5 days of finals. After 4 mandatory qualifying rounds, 32 athletes/pairs of athletes will be selected to compete in the final round. Since September 2008, each tournament has only 16 athletes/pairs of athletes participating instead of 32 as before to avoid stress and pressure to compete continuously for athletes to win. The content of the competition is similar to the Grand Prix, with men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, men's/women's doubles.
BWF World Championships Badminton World Championships
The BWF World Championships is the dream badminton tournament of many professional players. Because this is the biggest tournament in the badminton village. Most of the athletes participate in this tournament first with the desire to meet strong opponents to gain more experience, the next purpose is to accumulate bonus points to increase their rank.
BWF World Championships was established in 1977 and is held every 3 years. The latter is only held every two years on odd-numbered years. The best athlete, surpassing other professional players, will win the prestigious gold medal. This prestigious award does not come with any bonuses. For convenience and without affecting the schedules of the players, the tournament will not take place at the same time as the Summer Olympics.
